We have achieved some incredible metalic colours on this base. The yarn does loose a little softness once dyed, but it softens up with movement and work, a quick slap of the skeins on the back of a chair when the yarn is damp helps enormously with this. The yarn takes the dye really well, colours are strong and bright on this yarn, it does speckle too. We suggest either using a small needle, we used 2.5mm, although 2.75 or 3mm would also work to make a compact fabric. This also works nicely paired with something like type 49056 for a more open fabric with a halo.
