This has resulted in a lovely caramel yarn base which takes the dye nicely, and colours appear slightly muted and sophisticated on this base. Speckles will spread. The resulting fabric is soft with a gentle halo. We knitted the sock in the round on 2.25mm, but for a tighter fabric, you could go smaller to a 2mm.
