Non-Superwash Aran

This 100% Merino, undyed aran-weight yarn is superb, tightly twisted and bouncy. It takes the dye really nicely, and because of the twist works really well for glazing effects. The yarn and resulting fabric has a velvety feel and the swatch keeps its shape. This would make a superb sweater yarn, rib and cables pop on the fabric. We used a 4mm needle and when blocked this came out with 18 sts per 10cm - a classic Aran gauge. This yarn looks excellent in the skein once dyed.
