Velvet 4ply

This is a softly twisted yarn with just a little cotton in it, this adds a wonderful velvety texture to the yarn, hence the name. The yarn looks lovely in the skein with its characteristic twist. The yarn takes the dye really well, it speckles nicely, and the colours are bright and clear. We used a 3.25mm needle and got a fabric which was light and open with a lovely drape, this fabric blocks out quite a bit, therefore, a smaller needle would also work well for a fabric with a little more body. This would make lovely summer garments and accessories.
